Growing Well

What I’ve learned on a messy, humbling journey back to health

I’ve become deeply passionate about being well - mostly because, for a long time, I really wasn’t.

My journey back from severe illness hasn’t been a straight line. It’s been messy and humbling, with plenty of detours, wrong turns, and lessons I never asked for… but am now (somewhat surprisingly) grateful to have learned.

Even now, I still have to manage my ‘health’ with great care. But along the way, I’ve had to dig deep and slowly piece together what “well” actually means for me. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. It turns out being well isn’t about fixing one thing and moving on - it’s about learning, unlearning, and occasionally admitting you have no idea what you’re doing (and doing it anyway).

In that process, I’ve discovered many practical things that helped me find steadier ground - the kind of things I really wish someone had shared with me sooner.

So this space is my way of passing them on. A place where I can share thoughts and reflections on Health, Wellbeing, Self-Care and Modern Life … without any pressure to be perfect 🌿

There’s no single path to healing or happiness, no one-size-fits-all magic fix (sadly - I did look). We’re all so wonderfully, infuriatingly unique. But perhaps something here, amongst my magazine articles - drawn from my own journey, will resonate and help you find your own way to Growing Well, too.

And if it does, please share it with someone else who might be struggling. We’re much stronger together than when we try to battle alone.
